  • Why use a material that will be in the environment for the next 500 years for an application where we only need a few seconds, minutes, or days of useful life?

There are no good or bad materials, but there are more appropriate applications and uses for each of them.


It's just a matter of finding and aligning them. It is our mission at Mekreo, not only to provide these solutions, but to optimize the transformation processes towards responsible and reasonable energy consumption, achieving circular instead of linear companies.

Projection, implementation, start-up and running of:
  • The 1st complete industrial plant in Spain for the production of 1,000 Tn of biodegradable, compostable and water-soluble materials and products at different water temperatures. Turbo-mixing, compounding, reactive extrusion, blow-molding, bag forming, rewinding, and recycling phases. Design and development of procedures in accordance with the Total Quality Assurance (TQM) standard. ISO 9001 and BRC certifications.
  • Pilot plant and laboratories of 250 m2 for the development of biodegradable and compostable materials and products including casting and blowing technologies (mono and multi-material up to 5 layers), 3D printing, filament production, compounding and reactive extrusion.
  • 2 Industrial plants for the production by injection moulding technology of pieces with biocom material (PVA, PBS, PBAT polymers), with a capacity of 400Tn per production line. In particular, jars for cosmetics, hygiene products, sports cartridge wads, connectors and pyrotechnic devices among many others.
What can we do for your company?
Invention, development, industrialization and successful commercialization of:
  • + 250 Tn of stretching film with a thickness below 15 microns.
  • + 7 million laundry bags for hospital with 99,99 bacteria barrier properties.
  • + 400 Tn of film for packaging and dosing detergent products.
  • + 50 Tn of fluid solution that enhances the fertilizing action of agrochemical products.
  • + 100 Tn of bags for dosing phytosanitary products, pigments, concrete additives, etc.
  • + 200 Tn of flexible film in various thicknesses for use as embroidery support.
  • + 1.000 filament spools for 3D rapid manufacturing (FDM) in 1.75 and 2.85 mm diameter.
  • Wide range of low-thickness flexible films, adhesives and coatings with extraordinary gas barrier properties (O2, CO2, N2) and exceptionally low WVTR compatible with other materials in technologies for manufacturing multi-layer structures.

With all this we have managed to contribute to the reduction of plastic waste by +2,200 Tn, a small step that we hope to turn into a giant one with your help.
